Windows Desktop Gadgets
The Windows Desktop Gadgets (called Windows Sidebar in Windows Vista) is a widget engine for Microsoft Gadgets. It was introduced with Windows Vista, in which it features a sidebar anchored to the side of the desktop. Its widgets, called Gadgets, can perform various tasks, such as displaying the time and date and showing the CPU usage. Several gadgets ship with Windows, and anyone can develop more gadgets.
Tunngle Windows Desktop Gadget
The Tunngle Windows Desktop Gadget is a Windows Desktop Gadget that delivers live information about the Tunngle Networks and their activity. The Tunngle Windows Desktop Gadget makes use of the Tunngle Web Export API.

Since Tunngle version 4.3.2.6 the gadget is part of the Tunngle Setup.
If you have Windows Xp and you can't live without our wonderful gadget you can check this (carefully read the disclaimer before).
Tunngle Gadget for windows xp
The web signature and the network signature do not really require any third party software in Windows Xp .
To install those on your desktop you can:
Right click over an empty area of your windows desktop and select properties
Go to the desktop tab and click customize
Select the Web tab
Click New and type in one of the following web addresses:
Your Web_Signature (example: www.tunngle.net/sig/Brioche.png)
Your Web_Network_Signature (example: http://www.tunngle.n...%20Duty%204.png)
The Top_Network_List (example: specials.tunngle.biz/ttn/)
The Network_List (example: specials.tunngle.biz/nlsaf/)
They should magically appear on your desktop once you click ok a few times to apply .
The Windows_Desktop_Gadget can only be run using Windows Vista or Windows 7 .
However there is a totally unsupported and maybe risky way to install the Sidebar in Xp.
Warning: This is not Tunngle Software. This is totally unsupported! You follow these steps at your own risk .
Here is what you can try:
Be sure you understood the above disclaimer (last warning) .
Create a System_Restore_Point in case anything goes wrong .
Download and Install the Windows Sidebar for Xp (should be three setups to be run in sequence, read the readme.txt)
Reboot your system (do not skip this step)
Download the Tunngle Gadget from http://www.tunngle.n...desktop-gadget/ and double click it.
That's it the gadget should appear .
Installation
If you run Windows Vista or Seven, you will be prompted about the gadget installation when you run Tunngle setup.
Be sure you click Install when prompted.
If after running the Tunngle install you can't find the gadget on your desktop you can add it manually. To do this:
Right click an empty area of your Desktop
Click Gadgets
Drag the Tunngle Windows Desktop Gadget on your Desktop
Compact vs Full
The Tunngle Windows Desktop Gadget features two different views:

To switch between the two views you can:
Click the Size Icon (second from the top) that appears when you hover over the gadget
Right click the gadget and select the desired option from the Size menu.

Hover over the Gadget (or right click it) to bring up the Options button.
Options are as follows

Update interval
This option sets the update interval in minutes (min is 6).
Favorites
How to:
Type the first few letters of a network name and select your favorite from the list to add it.
To contain the size of the gadget only the first 14 favorites will be shown in Full View Mode.
Click over Favorites to open the Favorites Control Panel:
The alert icon (first icon from the left) is used to change the number of players over which you want the gadget to throw alerts.
The Remove x-icon is used to delete the favorite from the list.
Animated Counters
Use this option to turn off animated counters. This will reduce the Gadget CPU usage by actively turning off all animations.
If you have a very old machine and want to further reduce the CPU Time you have two options:
Avoid spamming favorites
Increase the Update Interval (this will affect the quality of the plots).
Enable Network Alerts
This option determines whether or not you want Audible Alerts to be played for Favorites above the Threshold.
Alert Reset Interval
This option determines how much time has to pass before an alert is played again.
This option will be helful if the favorite always remain over the threshold as if the favorite goes below the alert will be automatically reset. This option can help if you want to be sure not to miss an alert.
Alert Sound
Click the input control to change the sound that is used for alerts. Format should be WAV.
Usage
To move the gadget just drag it over your desktop.
In full view mode:
Clicking on a social icon brings you to the related Tunngle page.
Clicking on a favorite network in the Full View, starts Tunngle (if necessary) and joins the Network.
Favorite networks that are above your selected thresholds will be highlighted in red
In every mode:
Clicking on the Gadget Icons opens (left to right):

The Favorites Flyout shows all your favorite networks ordered by the Online Player Count:
Networks marked in red are those that are above your selected threshold.
Clicking a network fires up Tunngle (if necessary) and joins the network
Deleted Networks or Recently added networks have "-" user count
Network Monitor Flyout
TheNetwork Monitor Flyout can be used to keep track of the Tunngle trends:
The main curve represent the number of individual Tunnglers online in the last 24h against time (Y-axis is on the left).
The colored curves represent the number of individual Tunnglers online in your favorite networks against time (Y-axis is on the right).
Up above the graph you can see the Selected Time Interval (default is 3h).
Double-clicking the graph or clicking the Label will cycle the Time Interval.
Please keep in mind that the gadget logs Tunngle data only when it is running.
To inspect a data point just hover over it. The corresponding coordinates will appear near your mouse pointer and on the bottom right of the graph.
To switch to point & click mode just click the magnifying glass. You have then about 60 seconds to click a point.
To expand the legend click unroll. Click roll-up to hide it again.
Network List Flyout
The Network List Flyout can be used to quickly browse and search all the existing Tunngle Networks.
To search just type a few letters inside the Search Box.
To join a network just click its name. Tunngle will fire up (if necessary) and automatically join the network.
To sort, just click the desired column header. Click again to cycle between between Ascending and Descending.
